HVAC Area Sales Engineer - Southern Italy

Our client is a leading global manufacturer of HVAC equipment and services.

After achieving excellent growth throughout 2021, they are now looking to recruit an experienced HVAC professional to be responsible for sales throughout southern Italy.

Based in either Campania or Sicily, the chosen individual will be responsible for the growth of VRF System sales in the region, partnering with Consultants and Installers.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and develop relation with top consultants, planning and organising visits to both current and potential consultant partners and clients
  • Support consultants in order to generate spec–in possibilities, providing information of new products, services and solutions in the VRF field
  • Handle and develop promotion and project management for key consultants and big installers in the area
  • Research and development of important prospects in the area (Consultants and Installers) in order to influence involvement in future big projects
  • Coordination on key important projects, support prescription in the spec-in stage, driving all presales activities in the tender phase
  • Working with Project Engineers and Designers to develop VRF projects for consultants, providing model selections piping, wiring, drawings, executions of technical plants layout, etc
  • Technical and commercial analyses of competitor’s spec-in during bidding stage
  • Support and train the regional sales in order to improve their knowledge of VRF solutions, and to help them to identify key USPs of VRF solutions in a specific project
  • Organisation of seminars for Consultants and Technicians of Installers in order to increase the knowledge of company products and services
  • Continuously monitor sales and pipeline result progress

Experience and Skills:

  • Ideally a graduate of an Engineering University, with experience in preparing Energy Mechanical or Electrical fields of Building Design

Requirements:

  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar position, or 3 to 4 years’ experience in consultants’ office or installer company, developing technical issue and commercial relations with customers
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of HVAC products and solutions
  • Experience with relationship management
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Persuasive and analytical
  • Flexible and proactive
  • Target driven and result achievement oriented
  • Good level of English (verbal and written)
