Project Manager BMS

The BMS Service Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the delivery of these projects within their designated region, from undertaking sales to operations handovers, supply chain engagement, engineering management right through to project handover and post completion support. You will work alongside the customer, account manager, service and project engineering teams.

The areas covered for this particular role are Manchester/Leeds/Derby/Birmingham.

We will also look at Engineers with a minimum 5 years’ BMS experience who are looking to step up into Project Management.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and vendors
  • Undertake a sales handover to interpret and understand the scope of works
  • Responsible for H&S and environmental management of all projects
  • Direction, control and implementation of projects
  • Responsible for the commercial performance of the project
  • Monitor, review and report on the progress of all projects to the customer, leader and support staff
  • Drive standardisation throughout the organisation
  • Engage with Supply Chain & Subcontract organisations, raising third party contracts, managing project quality and commercial accounts
  • Provide reports to project leadership
  • Undertake risk reviews
  • Project meetings
  • Maintains professional certifications and licenses (e.g., SMSTS/First Aid at Work)

 

Required:

  • Willingness to travel (Manchester/Leeds/Derby/Birmingham) with an occasional overnight stay
  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word and Project
  • 5 years’ experience of project engineering in the construction industry, with experience in BMS and control systems, and M&E knowledge
  • Experience working on quick turn, small projects with multiple projects. Typical projects will be £50-£150k in value
  • Comfortable working as part of a team
  • Experience managing H&S in a construction environment
  • Valid CSCS site card & SSSTS certified

 

Preferred:

  • 3 years’ project management experience
  • Knowledge of Metasys, Tridium, Trend or any OEM BMS platform
  • First Aid, SMSTS or IOSH certified
  • Experience with different forms of contract
  • Knowledge of Contractual procedures and requirements (e.g.the Construction Act)

 

Package:

£50k - £60k DOE plus car
