Business Development Manager – London

An exciting opportunity has arisen working for a leading integrator in audio visual, security, and IT solutions for medium, large and enterprise organisations in the public and private sectors. They operate across the UK and have strong references demonstrating our quality of work.   

We are looking for an energetic Business Development Manager with experience to help win new clients and add to our growth. You will attract new clients from target markets and build solid relationships with them while maintaining existing relationships.

Other duties will include market research, developing business strategies and pitches, managing a variety of projects, and identifying new business opportunities. You will work with various departments and report to the Head of Business Development. You will have a mixed role where you will be responsible to bring in new business through project sales, design, consultancy, and other support services, and also have a number of existing accounts to manage as you start out.

The successful applicant will be resourceful, organised and motivated to increase sales, enhance the company's reputation, and look for new and creative ways to market our products. A background in sales or marketing is strongly desirable, as well as fire and security solution sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new transactional relationships with new clients
  • Maintain existing client relationships.
  • Collating and maintaining client information in the CRM database.
  • Collaborate with our vendor partners and delivery partners to get the best outcome for our client
  • Working closely with staff across departments to implement growth strategies.
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies, client service and retention plans, and analysing sales data to inform or update marketing strategies.
  • Assist with drafting marketing material, sales pitches, presentations, tender responses, and other documents as required.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Travel to client sites as required
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business management, marketing, or related field.
  • 2+ years' relevant work experience in business development or similar field preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Friendly and personable demeanour.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software.

Package: £40-45k basic, + commission + other benefits
