Business Development Manager

Our client is a young vibrant company who design, manufacture and install security aluminium doors across the housing and residential sector, and they have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join them in the Midlands.

 

You will be highly energetic, proactive and able to create opportunities with a range of end users, hospitals, council housing associations ect - any mid to large scale establishment that requires doors, so the pick is yours.

 

You will have your own network already that you can utilise, ideally expand business in the public sector and residential, with full inhouse technical support with Estimators and Designers that will be following up with the new clientele to go through technical specifications, so your job is to open doors.

 

You will be field based, visiting clients, canvassing and prospecting. You will be working with mid-level management to agree business, Estate Managers ect, rather than C-Suite.

 

This is a hybrid role, you will manage your own diary and have an office you can report into in West Midlands. 

 

Duties

  • Identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, customers, and services.
  • Understand our products and resources at your disposal to best satisfy customer information requests.
  • Think strategically – Utilize product knowledge to ensure that you are specifying the most suitable product(s) for the customers’ projects, seeing the bigger picture, and setting aims and objectives to get our range of product specified by clients.
  • Generating new and repeat business.
  • Will be expected to work towards monthly KPIs, maintain and aim to exceed targets.
  • Conduct site survey for quotation and projects, transmit information to internal office and following up with customer.
  • Work with Framework providers and members to maximize opportunities.
  • Understand the needs of customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these.
  • Build a quality data base of all potential social housing and local authority contacts to include contact details of decision makers, incumbent details, duration of any existing contracts for each element.
  • Assist team with adding value to contracts and developing existing clients to maximise future sales.
  • Effectively manage diary to maximize appointments and efficient working.
  • Providing relevant department with all key information for contract to be set up correctly.
  • Regular board meetings and with production team to discuss sales and production performance to help us understand what is coming down from your pipeline and material requirements.
  • Support our marketing team to maintain and keep our presence online suck as LinkedIn, Twitter, Website, etc.

 

Remuneration

  • £30-35k basic no experience required
  • Excellent commission structure - OTE 50-60k basic
