Fire and Security Business Development Manager

Are you based in the Dublin region of Ireland? Do you work in the fire and security industry? Do you have sales and account management skills and have a good network? If so, I’d like to hear from you. We have a new opportunity working for an independently owned tier 1 Integrator, to look after some key accounts in and around the Dublin area, and to acquire new business in your own targeted markets. 

The role will be responsible for devising your own business development strategy in line with the organisation’s growth strategy across targeted market sectors. You will work in a sales position which is not KPI driven or heavily target focussed, but more about developing long lasting robust client relationships and to accelerate the growth of electronic security installation and service portfolio.

You will mainly focus development on key market sectors, including pharmaceuticals, critical national infrastructure, utilities, distribution centres, health care, education and defence, acting as an ambassador to position the company’s reputation as a leading and respected employer.

This is a C-Cure, Lenel Var partner, who also recently became partners with Honeywell Gent.

Responsibilities:

  • Look after warm key accounts already established in the business.
  • Identify commercial and contractual issues associated with new business attainment.
  • Maintain focus on new business and work effectively with other internal departments to ensure all newly secured work is handed on in accordance with processes and procedures.
  • Provide regular reports identifying activity, targets and prospects etc.
  • Maximise the value of the company’s existing internal resources (marketing, technical and commercial) to support the achievement of target objectives.
  • Represent the business in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Develop an appropriate level of understanding of industry equipment and standards.

Required:

  • You must have a security industry background with a minimum of 5 years’ commercial experience. Strong technical and commercial skills are essential.
  • You must be a good team player who enjoys multi-tasking and interaction with customers and colleagues.
  • Personality: self- driven, multi-tasking, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality, profitability and professionalism. A natural problem solver with a keen ability to prioritise and work with people to achieve excellent business outcomes.
  • Ambition is key to the role. The position requires drive and focus and offers a route into higher management within the company based upon the establishment of effective and productive internal and external relationships.
  • Specific job skills: possess good interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication and an open and positive demeanour. Must have a good awareness of industry codes and standards and be suited to work within the guidelines and processes as set out by the company.

Remuneration 

  • €55,000 - €60,000 basic, excellent commission package (80k + OTE)
