Small Works Manager- Fire and Security Systems

Location : Thames covering OX,HP,RG,SN

Hybrid Remote

Salary : £45,000

Job Summary

Lead the effective management of fire and security system projects in the region, ensuring alignment with company quality standards and customer service excellence. Oversee projects ranging from £1,000 to £80,000 for key sites and clients, specialising in Fire Detection, PA/VA, Disabled Refuge, Access Control, CCTV and Intruder systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Management

Coordinate and schedule works engineers efficiently
Conduct site and client meetings to ensure project progress
Manage project forecasts and profit/loss statements
Ensure timely completion of contracts and invoicing within deadlines
Achieve a personal turnover target of £100,000 - £120,000 per month

Technical Expertise

Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Fire Systems, HSSDs, Disabled Refuge and PAVA
Maintain excellent understanding of CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Systems
Compile and deliver comprehensive O&M manuals for completed projects

Operational Excellence

Develop and implement best practices and procedures to enhance internal systems
Ensure works engineers have necessary access, equipment and resources on site
Manage and support works engineers effectively
Contribute to labour and financial forecasting on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis

Collaboration and Leadership

Foster strong working relationships with Works Managers, Supports, Engineers and Head of Works
Participate in establishing and improving work practices and procedures
Demonstrate excellent time management and multitasking abilities
Meet deadlines consistently and efficiently

Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience in project management within the fire and security systems industry
Strong technical knowledge of fire detection, security and communication systems
Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Proficiency in relevant project management and financial software
