The end of the season is within our sights, with last month’s overall leader Sam Morris still claiming the top spot of the league. His position in second place in the month of April has only helped to seal the deal further, beaten only by Richard Berry! Although he is our MOTM for April, Richard is currently down in 15th with 2301 points, which doesn’t give him the easiest route to the top with less than 1 month to go now. Regardless, we caught up with Richard to find out his thoughts on the 22/23 season, and if it has anything else to give him…
1. What do you like about fantasy football?
Its fun and actually a bit of skill is needed as we go from one season to the next.
2. What got you into fantasy football in the first place?
A chance to beat your mates!
3. What is the worst move you ever made?
Ironically, as this is a good season for me, it was a squad selection this season. At the start of the season I chose Kane and Jesus but no Haaland! I only got Haaland in for Week 6 and beyond.
There was another season I recall taking Rooney out and he scored a load, especially as others made him captain too.
4. What are your hopes for the season?
Arsenal to finish above the Saudi's Man City machine
5. What players have you got your eye on for the last month?
Double game week players IE City, Man U, Brighton
6. What's your chip strategy for the remaining weeks of the season?
Done all 3
7. What's your best ever finish and are you hoping to beat it?
I think it’s this season!
8. At the time of writing, you're 162 points off the top of the Zitko league. Do you think you can still win it?
No. Too late now with only 3 games left. I should have started the season with Haaland in my team as mentioned earlier.
